Two men, aged 21 and 26, and a 16-year-old girl have been arrested for attempted murder after a 45-year-old was repeatedly stabbed in Middleton Road, St Helier.
The victim, named locally as John Dutton, was stabbed in the chest and face on Wednesday, January 30.
It is believed a neighbour dialled 999 after finding the man, who was rushed to St George's Hospital, Tooting, at his home in Middleton Road.
Mr Dutton, known locally as Big John, underwent open heart surgery last week, and is now in a comfortable condition.
Detective Inspector Andy Trevan, who is leading the investigation said Sutton police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
He added: "This is an extremely serious incident and I am very keen to talk to anyone who witnessed it or who has information that can help".
