A pub which is a favourite with celebrities including Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse was wrecked in the Camden Market blaze.
The Hawley Arms pub was damaged in the huge fire, which ripped through the historic market's stalls and shops and nearby dwellings on Saturday night.
Firefighters from Clapham and Battersea fire stations took part in the massive effort to quell the flames which took six hours to get under control.
Local residents were evacuated from their homes, roads were closed off, and train services passing through Camden Town were suspended.
With around 300 stall owners and employees now facing an uncertain future, the owners of the Canal Market complex said they would be meeting with the council to help businesses.
A thorough investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
