Out-of-favour midfielder Carl Fletcher is not expected to move on loan before the end of the season.

There had been rumours that, with the loan window now open, the club captain would look to move somewhere where he could be guaranteed first-team football but Eagles manager Neil Warnock does not think this will happen.

He said: "I spoke to him about it because I feel sorry for him not getting much of a look in and he's training really very well.

"But his wife is expecting a baby next month and I don't think he will rush into anything before the summer.

"It's not as if I've said he's not wanted or anything because he is. But it's difficult for him to get into the team at the minute."

Fletcher made his last appearance in the FA Cup against Watford in January, and hasn't started a league game since early November.
