A Chessington mum suffering from post-natal depression was caught drink-driving on a provisional licence after visiting a friend to "let off steam".
Martine Jeffreys, 29, of Coutts Avenue, was stopped on February 2 and a breath test revealed she had 64mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, when the legal limit is 35.
Mr Middlehurst, defending, said Jeffreys had been storing her car at a friend's house while building work outside her property was being completed.
Jeffreys had gone to visit her friend, been offered a couple of glasses of wine and then decided to drive her car home as her parking space, needed during the building work for a skip, was now available again.
Jeffreys pleaded guilty at Kingston Magistrates' Court on Thursday, February 7, to drink-driving and driving without insurance.
She was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £365.
