Keira Knightley may have missed out on a gong at the Baftas but she took top honours at the Elle Style Awards.
Knightley, 22, who lives in Wandsworth and was schooled in Teddington and Esher, won the best actress prize, while Atonement co-star James McAvoy was named best actor.
Kate Nash and The Feeling, who trained at Croydon's Brit School, picked up the award for best music act and best music band.
Pint-sized pop star Kylie Minogue, 39, was named Woman of the Year.
