Councillors have proposed a 2.75 per cent pay rise in their members' allowance.
Currently all councillors receive a basic allowance of £3,833, while the leader of the council gets an additional £8,795.
A decision to increase this to £3,938 and £9,037 respectively will take place at Spelthorne's full council meeting on Thursday, February 21.
If approved the deputy council leader would get £6,001, the executive committee, chairmen of overview and scrutiny committees, chairmen of planning and licensing committees and the opposition group leader would all receive an additional £3,012 - up from £2,931.
