A Tooting bookies has been fined £800 by Wandsworth Council for dumping huge piles of rubbish in the street.
William Hill was prosecuted under environmental protection laws after litter inspectors found 15 refuse sacks and cardboard boxes in Undine Street in July.
Inspectors examined the flytip and found almost all of it had come from the William Hill branch round the corner in Mitcham Road.
Deputy manager Ashvin Jhurree admitted the rubbish had come from William Hill, and said it was abandoned in the street by his cleaners.
The company pleaded guilty to one offence under the Environment Protection Act at South Western Magistrates' Court in January.
It was fined £600 and ordered to pay £205 in legal costs.
The council's environment spokesman, Councillor Malcolm Grimston, said: "Absolutely no consideration was given to the residents of Undine Street by the William Hill staff who chose to dump this eyesore on their doorsteps. The fact that this was done by staff at a pretty high-profile company with a nationwide reputation is quite astonishing.
"Virtually all the fly-tips we come across have been left there by unscrupulous businesses who don't want to shoulder the cost of lawfully disposing of their rubbish. They would much rather just dump it on a street corner and wait for the council to come along and bear the cost of cleaning it up.
"I would remind all businesses, big and small, that if they think they can get away with simply dumping their waste on the street they are wrong. We will catch up with you and we will prosecute you."
If you want to report a fly-tip or litter problem, call the council's anti-litter squad on 020 8871 8558 or email wasteservices@wandsworth.gov.uk. You can also send the town hall a text message, stating the location of the fly-tip, to 07797 805456.
Once the message is received the council will arrange to remove the fly-tip within 24 hours.
