Fees paid to agents by Crystal Palace were dramatically reduced last year.
Figures released by The Football League show that between July 1 and December 31, 2007, the Eagles paid just £35,000 to agents, compared to £433,818 in the same period the year before.
The amount is one of the lowest in The Championship, beaten only by promoted sides Blackpool, who paid no agents fees whatsoever, and Scunthorpe, who paid £13,720.
It is in stark contrast to the year before when they paid the third highest in the league behind only Southampton and Stoke.
The figures also show that Palace made eight transfers in that period, updated three contracts, cancelled one and loaned four players.
They made a total of 16 transactions, the lowest in the league along with Blackpool, Burnley, Cardiff and Ipswich.
