LANSDOWNE ROAD AND SYDENHAM ROAD, CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer connections to a new development they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Lansdowne Road and Sydenham Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in:-
(a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Lansdowne Road, between the south-western kerb-line of St. James's Road and the common boundary of Nos.103 and 105 Lansdowne Road;
(b) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Sydenham Road, between the south-western kerb-line of St. James's Road and the south-western boundary of No.115 Sydenham Road;
(c) the banned right turn from Sydenham Road into St James's Road will be suspended;
(d) the banned right turn from St James's Road into Sydenham Road will be suspended.
Note: The works will take place on a rolling programme.
3. Whilst the said works are taking place the alternative route:-
a) in the case of Lansdowne Road for vehicles travelling in St James's Road via Sydenham Road, Dingwall Road and Lansdowne Road;
(b) in the case of Sydenham Road via St James's Road, Tavistock Road and Bedford Park.
4. The Order will come into operation on 25 February 2008 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 3 weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. (Residential vehicular access will be maintained and through traffic via the diversion route as signposted)
