A man has died after a hit-and-run crash in Clapham.
The man, aged 30, was hit by a four-wheel drive as he crossed Tennyson Street at the junction with Robertson Street just before midnight yesterday.
The man, who has yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance crews.
A postmortem examination is due to take place today.
Sergeant Greg Page said police were looking for a dark-coloured four-wheel drive that failed to stop at the scene.
"The dark or black four-wheel drive vehicle will have sustained some damage to its front area in the collision so if you have seen such a vehicle, please contact us," Sgt Page said.
