Crystal Palace players are sweating on their places for the trip to Bristol City on Monday, with Neil Warnock admitting 17 year-old Lee Hills is the only one assured of starting.

The left-back was one of few plus points to come out of the Tuesday's disappointing home defeat to Ipswich, which his rampaging runs down the left-flank appearing the side's best chance of scoring.

And Warnock revealed that his performance has earned him a spot for Monday.

He said: "Lee Hills will play, he's the only one picked at the minute."

The decision to play Hills means Mark Hudson, Matt Lawrence and Danny Butterfield are all left wondering about their places, as Warnock also said that if Clint Hill recovers from his ankle injury in time he will also start.

He said: "He's trained today but we've got to treat him a bit. He's going to have a problem until the end of the season with his ankle and he's going to have to play through the pain barrier.

"It's still sore but he has trained really well today. We'll have to play it by ear. If it's only a bit of pain he's one of the old brigade and will play through it. If he is fit he will play."

Tom Soares is also back in contention after missing Tuesday's game because his partner was giving birth, while Neil Danns is also struggling with a groin injury but is expected to play.
