South west London has been snubbed on the Olympic torch relay route.
According to the route announced yesterday, the Olympic torch will pass through Ladbroke Grove, Notting Hill, Hyde Park and the city before ending its tour at the O2 Arena on April 6.
It will be carried by 80 torchbearers organised by the Mayor's office, including double Olympic champion Kelly Holmes and newsreader Sir Trevor McDonald as well as 20 school children.
The torch relay will begin in St Petersburg before passing through 23 countries before it arrives in Beijing for the Olympic Games opening ceremony on August 8.
More than 70,000 people watched Sir Steve Redgrave carrying the torch along the Mall ahead of the 2004 Athens games.
