Julian Speroni: Double save from Orr's penalty was magnificent as was save from Sproule. He just keeps getting better. 9
Danny Butterfield: McIndoe had the beating of him in the first half but was excellent in the second and unlucky with penalty decision. 7Mark Hudson: Unlucky not to score and made crucial blocks at the back, a captain's performance. 7Matt Lawrence: His distribution is poor but made some goal preventing blocks and tackles. 7Clint Hill: Return to side showed what Palace have been missing of late, grit and determination. 8Shaun Derry: Gave the ball away but got stuck in and was superb second half. 7Carl Fletcher: Given the job of marking Carle and did it faultlessly. Man-of-the-match. 9Ben Watson: Tried to support the strikers as much as he could and his passing was back up to scratch. 7Tom Soares: Back on the wing and ran his socks off in the second half. 7Lee Hills: Fantastic goal capped a great performance in unaccustomed left-wing role. 8Shefki Kuqi: First start since August and though his touch was often poor he did the lone man role very well in the second half. 7SUBS:Sean Scannell: Made a few good runs and showed his pace. 6James Scowcroft: Didn't hold the ball up enough and got booked. 5Jose Fonte: Shored up the defence late on. 6
