A 33-year-old New Addington man is due to appear in court today charged with murdering his wife.
Wayne Forrester, 33, was charged with murdering his wife Emma, 35, after police were called to reports of a domestic dispute in Markfield, Forestdale, about 6.30am Monday.
Officers arrived at the house and found the victim suffering stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance officers.
It is understood the couple had separated around 10 days earlier.
A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said: "It is very sad for the family. I didn't know them but it has got like that around here in the last couple of years. People just don't talk to each other anymore."
Forrester appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court this morning.
He was remanded in custody until May 28.
