A former convict is giving students in Epsom and Ewell some lessons on life.
Mick Hart served 26 years in prison for murder.
But since turning his life around, he now tours schools and colleges with charity The Door, warning young people about the consequences of crime.
Surrey Police PC Kevin Gargini, who organised the tour, said more than 1,500 students are expected to hear Mr Hart speak and see a video he has produced showing life inside and including interviews with prisoners.
"I defy anyone who watches Mick's presentation to think it is cool' to offend," PC Gargini said.
"Mick comes across very well to the young people and quite clearly wants the best for the youngsters.
"I hope that the talk will hit home to these young people the message of what life's like in prison and that it will have a real effect in discouraging young people from becoming involved in crime and anti-social behaviour."
