Des Lynam is back on the BBC to front a new show - Sporting Mastermind.
Lynam, who lives in Chiswick, was lured to ITV in 1999 with a £5 million contract after spending more than 30 years with the BBC.
He joined Carol Vordeman to present Countdown following the death of Richard Whiteley but reportedly quit after two years because of the long trip from his Chiswick home to Leeds where the programme was filmed.
The new show, which will include Mastermind's iconic black chair, will be fought out by four competitors at a time over the summer.
