A man accused of raping a Sutton boy will go on trial after he denied committing 20 sexual offences.
Robert Webb, 22, of Selsey Court, Hillfield Road, Selsey, pleaded not guilty to eight rapes and 12 other sex assaults.
The boy, now nine, will be called to give evidence through a CCTV link during the trial, which is expected to last five days.
The charges relate to various dates between December 31, 2006, and August 21, 2007.
As he was taken to the cells from the dock, Webb waved to relatives and friends in the public gallery.
The trial at Croydon Crown Court begins on April 21.
