Supermodel Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital in Brazil to have a cyst removed yesterday.
The 37-year-old is said to be recovering well after undergoing the procedure at the Sirio Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo.
Campbell's spokeswoman said: "Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital to have a small cyst removed."
She continued: "Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work.
"She would like to thank the doctors who have kindly looked after her."
The spokeswoman declined to give further details of Campbell's condition.
Campbell is under the care of one of Brazil's top infection specialists, it was reported.
The Streatham-born model is a frequent visitor to the South American country, and earlier this month attended the carnival in the north-eastern city of Salvador.
