Police have repeated their appeal for information about the death of 50-year-old found stabbed at a gay cruising spot.
Peter Jeffrey Akers, 50, died after being stabbed at the public toilet near Walton Bridge on Tuesday, February 19.
Mr Akers, from Wallington, had a male partner who he had been living with for 22 years. A postmortem examination held at the Royal Surrey County Hospital revealed the cause of death as a single stab wound to the back Police officers have been handing out leaflets appealing for anyone in Walton Bridge or New Zealand Avenue between 1pm and 3.30pm last Tuesday to phone them.
Detectives said they were particularly appealing for anyone who had seen anything suspicious or out of the ordinary to give them a call.
They are also keen to speak to anyone using the toilets, a well-known gay cruising spot, to call.
"Surrey Police would also like to hear from visitors to the public toilets by Walton Bridge last Tuesday and is encouraging anyone who may have been the victim of a crime at this location to come forward," a spokeswoman said.
"They will not need to say why they were visiting the site but will simply be given the opportunity to share information with the police."
