A 17-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the murder of transexual Kellie Telesford.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday.

A trial has been fixed for August 4.

Forty-year-old Kellie Telesford was found dead at her home in Leander Road, Thornton Heath, on November 21.

Born Kayiode Dexter-Telesford, she had been living as a woman for a number of years.

Police have appealed for anyone who had any contact with Miss Telesford between November 15 and 21 to contact them.
