Neil Warnock has denied reports linking him with striker Julius Aghahowa, and admitted he is likely to miss out on other targets.
The Crystal Palace manager was said to have sent scouts to watch the Wigan Athletic man in a reserve game this week, but it seems unlikely he will make a move for him.
He said: "I can't see at the moment people like that wanting to come to Palace if I'm honest."
Warnock did though admit to having a look at a couple of other players but revealed his frustration at their decision to go elsewhere.
He said: "We are looking around but it's not easy at the moment. One or two others that we had in our radar look they are going elsewhere, so it's disappointing really."
