People are being urged to track down their trainers and take part in a Sport Relief run on Sunday, March 16.
Staines and Laleham Sports Association will host a Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile.
All the money raised by Sport Relief is spent by Comic Relief to help vulnerable people both at home and across the world.
The Sport Relief Mile was last held in 2006 and about 400,000 runners took part, including Prince William. This time, runners can select the distance which is challenging to them - choosing from one, three or six miles - and get sponsored for doing it.
Rod Crowe from the sports association said: "We're delighted that Staines has been selected to host this exciting event.
"We're looking forward to seeing hundreds of residents taking part, getting sponsored and raising money for Sport Relief."
