A Surbiton woman took advantage of a leap year tradition by proposing to her boyfriend live on air.
The custom - known as the Ladies Privilege - marks February 29 as the day a woman may ask her man to marry her.
But Lucy decided she wanted to make her proposal to partner Mike Ingram even more special by popping the question live on Capital 95.8 this evening.
Nervous Lucy called into Greg Burns' show and the DJ happily called up her surprised boyfriend.
She then asked her stunned fella if he would marry her.
And in a shot Lucy's boyfriend of four-and-a-half years replied: "Of course I will."
Lucy said: "You know I love you so much. I wanted to make the proposal so special for you because we have been through so much."
The happy couple, who have one child, were then told by the DJ they had won a trip to Paris and a host of treats thanks to Lucy's on air proposition.
