A 41-year-old man was rushed to hospital after a midnight stabbing at a tram stop in New Addington.
Ambulance crews and police were called to Central Parade Tram Stop at around 12.10am this morning.
A man was rushed to hospital after an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer were sent to the scene.
The man's condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
Crime scenes are in place and police enquiries are ongoing.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 00:10hrs on Thursday, 1 September to Central Parade Tram Stop in New Addington following reports that a man had been stabbed.
"Officers attended.
"A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital, where his condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.
"A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
"Crime scenes are in place and enquiries continue."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.09am today (1 September) to reports of an incident on Central Parade, New Addington.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We treated a man at the scene and took them as a priority to a major trauma centre.”
