A Wandsworth woman has started up an environmental cleaning company that promises to get the borough's residents cleaning green.
Kay Fairclough, from Balham, came up with the idea for her business, Cleaning Green, last year after an environmental epiphany when it dawned on her how dangerous some bleaches and detergents could be.
Mrs Fairclough said: "I started the business last June after becoming aware myself of the hazardous environmental and health effects of chemicals commonly found in normal household cleaning products.
"We're unique in the fact that we also offer a recycle and refill service on the range of Earth Friendly products that we use and sell."
As a carrot to potential customers Cleaning Green will offer all Guardian readers 25 per cent off their first clean plus a free product sample.
The company will also sell starter kits to make the switch to eco friendly cleaning hassle-free.
