A new milk sourced from "happy" cows is going on sale in Wandsworth supermarkets.
Precious Milk, from the Contented Cow Company, is produced by cows who are comfortably housed and allowed to roam freely around the farm or play in the fields.
Sold in distinctive pouches, it is hitting the shelves at Sainsbury's in Balham, Clapham and Wandsworth.
Farmers supplying the milk regularly monitor their cows, and boost their nutrition with omega-3 oil supplements and mineral sources.
Phil Latham, the Cheshire farmer who co-founded the Contented Cow Company along with Adam Johnson, said: "It's all about the cows. We know each and every one of our cows and continually monitor and adjust our husbandry to ensure they are happy and healthy.
"To put it simply, we believe a contented cow produces better quality milk for everyone to enjoy."
