A Wimbledon singer is taking a creative approach to recycling by making a business out of customising old clothes.
Erika Footman, 25, who fronts band Imma, has started her own fashion label Don't Call me Merlin, with friend Gemma Zirfas, 27.
The idea began when Erika started making her own clothes for gigs, which lots of people liked and commented on.
Now the pair encourage their pals to give them any unwanted clothes, which they then personalise into something more individual, either to give back to the owner for a small fee or to sell on.
"The stuff we design is from our own personal taste. We blend a lot of mystical creatures into it, for example," Erika said.
Her mother is from Japan, where she says recycling has been a important part of life for a long time.
"I'm only doing what my mum used to do when we were children," Erika said.
"It's always been a shock to me as to why recycling hasn't taken off so much here."
Since beginning their venture this month, they have already sold a number of pieces from their website.
