A Surbiton pizza restaurant owner has been fined for opening later than allowed.
Village Pizza owner Faraidoon Qaderi was prosecuted after he breached planning permission restricting his opening hours.
Mr Qaderi's Claremont Road restaurant was granted planning permission in 1986 on condition it would only be open between 9am and 11.30pm.
But Kingston Council received complaints that it had opening beyond these hours and issued a breach of condition notice requiring Mr Qaderi to keep to the agreed opening hours.
A follow-up investigation found Mr Qaderi had failed to meet the notice's requirements and he was prosecuted.
He pleaded guilty to trading outside hours detailed in the planning permission for his premises at Kingston Magistrates' Court and was ordered to pay a total of £1,228.50 in fines and costs on April 29.
