As the five Liberal Democrat councillors for Lower Sunbury and Halliford, we are continuing to work hard on behalf of our residents on a range of issues.
This includes partnership workings with the county council.
It is therefore frustrating for us to be unable to have a dialogue with the Conservative Councillor Frank Davies, who represents Lower Sunbury and Halliford at Surrey County Council.
We have tried to contact him via phone calls, letters and emails, but since May 2007 we have been met with a wall of silence.
We know our frustration is now being felt by residents, who feel let down. In particular, residents are unhappy that since Coun Davies moved to Sussex, his availability has declined markedly.
In March, he was absent from the local area forum. It was a pity, because many people there had questions on county issues that require answers.
This is in contrast to his appearance at a recent borough council meeting to receive his alderman's badge.
We hope Coun Davies will respond to this letter and start doing the job he was elected to do.
If he cannot make himself available then he should resign and allow the community the chance to elect someone else.
