Residents in council-owned flats have been given a free reusable bag to help them recycle more rubbish.
The bags can be used to store recyclable goods in the home before they are placed in banks.
The recycling banks are for all paper, card, glass bottles and jars, cans and plastic bottles.
If every household in Wandsworth recycled their food and drink cartons, an estimated 600 tons of unnecessary rubbish could be prevented from going to landfill each year - the equivalent weight of about 80 double-decker buses.
