A man had to be rescued from a barge in Kingston on Tuesday after suffering stab wounds.
Kingston police confirmed the stabbing is being treated as non-suspicious and said they believe the wounds were self inflicted.
Police were called to Woodbines Avenue at 2.34am on May 6 and found a man on a barge 15 to 20 metres from the riverbank.
The RNLI were called to assist with the rescue and, after being retrieved from the barge and ferried ashore by lifeboat, the man was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.
His condition is not thought to be life threatening.
