Clapham Junction is to get more police with the launch of a special squad on Wednesday.
One British Transport Police sergeant backed up by eight constables will be permanently posted to Clapham Junction and 22 surrounding stations from Kingston to Staines.
The new neighbourhood policing team will cover South West Trains services on the loop through Kingston and Staines as well as working with Met and Surrey police officers.
