A former vicarage in Sutton, which hosts up to “10 sex parties a week”, is so noisy it is keeping neighbours up at night, residents claim.
House of Poiter in Carshalton Road, holds adult events where guests can enjoy four general ‘play’ rooms, a two-way mirror room, a well-equipped dungeon as well as a cage, and a spanking horse, its website says.
One local, who asked not to be named, said they first started looking into 226 Carshalton Road after parking became a nightmare in the area around the house.
They also complained revellers leaving the house at “unsociable hours” could be noisy and disturb neighbours.
Complaints to Sutton Council relating to the property date back to 2003 and the authority confirmed at least two separate complaints were received in the last year.
An email from a council officer, seen by the Local Democracy Reporting Service said despite the location being a “known premises in use as a private members party and events venue” it was “immune from planning enforcement”.
A local resident said: “Parking, this was the issue that first motivated me.
There is already limited parking in the Sutton Grove-Carshalton Road area and when there is an event at the property it becomes impossible to find any parking.
“Partygoers also find this and they resort to parking in areas where parking is prohibited.
"Weekend parties typically end between 1am and 3am so there is noise and boisterous behaviour when the guests leave in groups.”
The resident was also concerned that parties at the property could impact on the value of homes nearby.
But Sutton Council investigated the property last year and said it did not find any breaches of planning regulations.
An email from a council officer sent to a resident on this matter said: “This site has been visited on previous occasions, as far back as 2003 it was a ‘known’ premises in use as a ‘private members party and events venue’.
“However under the planning regulations this was difficult to prove as the actual layout of the premises was as a dwelling house.
"Given the time period involved it would now be immune from planning enforcement action.
“This matter, if being run for commercial gain, I believe would be a police and/or environmental health matter to investigate and to pursue under their legislation.”
The Local Democracy Service has contacted Met Police for comment.
On some days, residents claim there are as many as three parties hosted at the house.
Property websites show the five-bedroom detached house was sold in 2002 for £550,000 and is now worth more than £1.5 million.
Information about the property is available on a website which said House of Pointer fees to enter parties are not charged but it is “usual to request a contribution from guests” to cover the costs of maintaining the house and refreshments.
This can be up to £120 for single men, £50 for couples while single ladies always go for free.
A Sutton Council spokesperson said: “Last year, the council undertook an investigation into a breach of planning regulations on a private dwelling in Carshalton.
"The investigation showed that there had been no breaches of planning.
“If residents have concerns about the fire safety of any private dwelling across the borough we advise them to contact the London Fire Brigade.
"Any concerns about the welfare of individuals should be reported to the police immediately.”
House of Poiter were contacted for comment but had not responded at the time of publication.
