A man from Thornton Heath has been charged after allegedly being involved with county line drug dealing in Gravesend.
On Wednesday, September 28, police searched an address on Royal Pier Road in Gravesend and arrested a man who tried to flee via the back of the house on foot.
The 18-year-old was detained and taken into custody.
Officers also seized £310 and recovered cocaine, three mobile phones and digital scales from inside the house.
Joshua Olatunde, of The Drive in Thornton Heath was charged with possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on September 29 and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on October 27.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Police officers have targeted a suspected county line drug dealer in Gravesend.
“On Wednesday 28 September 2022, a search warrant was executed by local officers at a private address in Royal Pier Road.
“Officers detained a man who left the rear of the property on foot and he was taken into custody.
“They also seized £310 in cash.
“Inside the premises, the constables recovered quantities of cocaine, three mobile phones and some digital scales.
“Joshua Olatunde, of The Drive, Thornton Heath, Greater London was later charged with possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of criminal property, namely the seized cash.
“The 18-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 29 September where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 27 October 2022.”
