There have been no updates since an elderly man was killed in a crash with a car in North Cheam on Saturday, police say.

Paramedics were called to Courtenay Road at 6.13pm to a man injured after he had been hit by a vehicle.

Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene.

Police were also called to the crash.

The car involved did not stop after the incident and no arrests have been made at this time.

Metropolitan Police today said there has been "no updates".

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 6.16pm on Thursday, 17 November to Courtenay Road, North Cheam, following a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

“Officers attended along with LAS. The man, aged in his 70s, was treated at the scene but despite the efforts of paramedics he died.

“His family have been informed. The car did not stop at the scene.

“No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dash cam footage, is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC ref CAD 5980/17 Nov.”
