A dispersal order has been put in place until early tomorrow morning in Croydon to try and prevent antisocial behaviour and violence.
It is in place from midday today (February 10) until tomorrow at 6am (February 11).
This order will cover Broad Green and Fairfield Wards, which includes Croydon Town Centre.
Police have said that this is to try and support the community regarding “antisocial behaviour and violence” in the area.
Dispersal orders provide the police with the extra powers to break up groups of two or more people, where they believe their behaviour is causing a nuisance, harassment or distress.
Metropolitan Police has been approached for more information on why the order is in place.
