A man from Sutton appeared in court after being caught with extreme indecent images of children. 

Matthew Finn, of Kingsmead Avenue in Sutton, appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday (April 5) after pleading guilty to possessing indecent photographs of children. 

The images were found on the 36-year-old's custom-built computer on January 7, 2022. 

The court heard that the images were Category A, depicting children engaging in sexual activity. 

Finn admitted that the computer was his and after the device was analysed by police he admitted that it had been him viewing the images. 

Finn, who had no brushes with the law prior to this, appeared before Her Honour Judge Alexia Durran in the Old Bailey's Court 8 for sentencing. 

However, the sentencing was adjourned until May for a pre-sentence report to be made. 

He was released on bail until then.
