A body of a man was discovered in a cemetery in Ewell this morning (June 20).
Police were called to the cemetery on Church Street in Ewell at 10.40am after the report of a body being found.
Enquiries are underway, but his death is not believed to be suspicious.
A police cordon will remain in place while officers try to establish what happened.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “At 10.40am this morning (20 June) police were called to the cemetery on Church Street, Ewell following the discovery of a man's body.
“Enquiries to establish what happened are underway, and there will be a police cordon in the area around the cemetery for a short time to facilitate this.
“However, his death is not thought to be suspicious and we would like to reassure the public that there is no wider risk to them.”
