Most of a building has been damaged after a fire in a disused workshop near Croydon.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to Beddington Lane, Beddington, on Friday (June 23) at around 7pm. No injuries were reported.
London Fire Brigade used 32 metre turntable ladders to help get the fire under control, as the building was too dangerous for crews to enter.
The fire was under control by around 8.30pm and its cause is being investigated by the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a disused workshop on Beddington Lane in Beddington on Friday.
“Most of the building was damaged by fire.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
"The use of one of the Brigade's 32 metre turntable ladders was vital in helping to bring the fire under control, as the building was too unsafe for crews to enter.
“The Brigade was called at 6.47pm and the fire was under control by 8.33pm.
“Fire crews from Wallington, Croydon, Norbury, Mitcham and Kingston fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
