A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing near a tram stop in Croydon.
The incident happened in Shoreham Close just before 7.40pm yesterday (June 26).
Police and London Ambulance Service paramedics attended and found a boy injured.
Members of the public provided first aid before emergency services arrived.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquires continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 7.39pm on Monday, 26 June to reports of a stabbing in Shoreham Close, Croydon, near to the Arena Tram Stop.
“Officers responded with LAS. A 16-year-old boy was found suffering stab injuries.
"Members of the public administered first aid prior to the arrival of emergency services.
“He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests at this time; enquiries are ongoing."
