A woman has been taken to hospital after being cut from a car which was involved in a crash in New Malden.
Firefighters responded to a crash on Burlington Road which involved two cars at around midday (June 28).
A woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be freed by the firefighters.
She was then taken to hospital by paramedics.
By 12.58pm the firefighters had finished their work on scene.
Fire crews from both New Malden and Wimbledon Fire Station were in attendance.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for further comment.
A spokesperson London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters attended a road traffic collision on Burlington Road in New Malden today.
“Two cars were involved.
“A woman who was reported to be trapped inside one of the cars was released by firefighters.
“She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
“The Brigade was called at 11.59am and the incident was over for firefighters by 12.58pm.
“A fire engine from New Malden Fire Station and a fire engine and fire and rescue unit from Wimbledon Fire Station attended the scene.”
