A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital with stab injuries following a stabbing in Church Street in Croydon.

Yesterday, July 29, at 2:18pm police were called to the scene of a stabbing in Church Street in Croydon.

A 19-year-old man was found at the location with stab injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance crews.

Police have confirmed that his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

One man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.

An investigation has been launched by Met Police.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at 14:18hrs on Saturday, 29 July, to a stabbing in Church Street, Croydon.

“Officers attended the location and found a 19-year-old man suffering stab injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance colleagues.

“His condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

“An investigation has been launched, led by detectives from the Met’s South Area CID.

“One man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, he has been taken into police custody where he remains.
