London Ambulance Service has issued an update after a stabbing in Croydon at the weekend.
The service was called at 2.18pm on Saturday (July 29) to reports of a stabbing on Church Street.
A number of resources were sent to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, a medic in a fast response car and a motorcycle paramedic.
London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched; the first medics arrived in around four minutes.
A 19-year-old man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital as a priorty.
Police have previously confirmed that his condition was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
One man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.18pm on Saturday 29 July to reports of a stabbing on Church Street, Croydon.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, a medic in a fast response car and a motorcycle paramedic. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first medics arrived in around four minutes.
“We treated a man for injuries before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
