A person has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Croydon.
The incident happened in Hermitage Lane just before 11.20am today (August 7).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a person injured.
He was taken to hospital where his condition is currently unknown.
A male reportedly resisted arrested and assaulted an officer.
He remains in police custody.
A crime scene was put into place following the incident.
Police enquires into the circumstances remain ongoing.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At around 11.17am police were called to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service. (LSB)
“A male resisted arrest, and assaulted an officer. He now remains in custody.
“A crime scene was put into place with enquires ongoing.
“The victim has been taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, condition awaits.
“Anyone with information can call 101 quoting the number 2617/07AUG”
