A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury and another man arrested on suspicion of GBH following an assault in Kingston.
Today (September 2) at around 8:10am police were called to Eden Street in Kingston following reports of a man in possession of a hammer “acting aggressively.”
A man, aged 21, was found with a head injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance crews from London Ambulance Service.
Police are currently awaiting an update on his condition.
One man was detained and arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at about 08:10hrs on Saturday, 2 September to reports of a man in possession of hammer, and acting aggressively on Eden Street in Kingston.
“Officers attended and found a 21-year-old man with a head injury.
“He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; we await an update on his condition.
“A man was detained nearby and subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“He remains in police custody.”
