30 people evacuated a block of flats in Putney as a fire broke out, before fire crews arrived to tackle the blaze.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to Evenwood Close overnight last night (September 22).
A man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service.
Half of a flat on the second and third floors of a four-storey block of flats were damaged by the fire.
London Fire Brigade was called at 3.44am and the fire under control by 6.29am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on Evenwood Close in Putney overnight (22 September).
“Half of a flat on the second and third floors of a four-storey block of flats was damaged by fire.
“One man was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.
“Around 30 people left the building before firefighters arrived.
“The Brigade was called at 0344 and the fire was extinguished by 0629.
“Crews from Wandsworth, Fulham, Battersea and Chelsea fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
