Arrests have been made in Sutton after a car chase from Surrey, just less than a mile away from the scene of a stabbing where a 42-year-old man died.
At 9.30pm yesterday (October 4), Sutton police were told that Surrey Police were chasing a vehicle.
The vehicle stopped in Barlow Close, Wallington, and the occupants allegedly fled the car.
However, shortly afterwards the suspects were stopped and arrested.
Police have reassured the community that despite this being close to the scene where Luke Blackmore was stabbed to death, this is not a connected incident.

They said: “At approximately 9.30pm on Wednesday, October 4, we were informed that Surrey Police were in pursuit of a vehicle.
“The vehicle stopped in Barlow Close, Wallington, and the occupants decamped but were shortly stopped and arrested.
“The incident itself is not connected to the recent murder on the Roundshaw.”
Superintendent Collins said: “I understand that the community are rightly worried following the tragic murder on Monday evening.
“Officers will continue to work with residents and partners in and around the Roundshaw estate to ensure we are there to support and reassure the community going forward.”
