18-year-old Blues phenomenon Toby Lee will make an appearance in Coulsdon this month, as he sets out on his first full UK tour.
Toby, who featured as Zack Mooneyham in the first West End production of School of Rock, won The Young Blues Artist of The Year 2023.
Now, he is touring the UK, performing at various locations, including Tuesday Night Music Night Club on Tuesday, October 24.
Prior to his achievement, he had shared stages with a host of blue legends, including Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons, and Joe Bonamasa, whose Mediterranean Blue Cruise he joined in the summer.
Lee said: “I was not at all expecting to win.
“I was in the back and then I heard my name called out.
“Absolutely unbelievable.”
Toby Lee's musical journey began at a young age when his grandmother gifted him a colourful ukulele at the age of four.
Since then, Toby's passion for music has grown, leading him to receive his first electric guitar at the age of eight.
Toby’s been partnered with Gibson Guitars since he was 10 and is endorsed by Blackstar Amplification and D’Addario Strings.
He’s just spent time in Nashville filming for Gibson as well as travelling to Texas at the invitation of the Buddy Holly Foundation for songwriting workshops.
His advice to aspiring artists is: “Just stick with it.
“Do it out of fun and enjoyment over obligations.
“Ignore the fear and you’ll be fine.”
