On Remembrance Day, Sutton will show honour and appreciation for those who served for their nation.
Since 1919, Remembrance Day has been observed on November 11, noting the end of World War I.
This year, people will observe Remembrance Sunday on November 12 to pay tribute.
Sutton will be hosting the Civic Act of Remembrance on Sunday, November 12, at the Manor Park War Memorial.
The event will be conducted by the Reverend Frances.
The Act of Remembrance will start at 10:55 a.m. at the War Memorial, followed by a service at St Nicholas Church.
The Civic Act of Remembrance is an event that honours and commemorates those who lost their lives during the war.
In this event, civic representatives, veterans, and members of the community can come together to pay their respects and lay wreaths in remembrance.
At 11am, there will be the usual two-minute silence and all traffic will be stopped.
