A woman has been taken to hospital after she was thrown from a horse when it was attacked by a dog in Richmond Park.
On Saturday, November 4, at 8.25am, a 19-year-old horse named Julie was attacked by a dog near Robin Hood Gate.
Police are appealing for witnesses and the owner of the dog.
The dog was described as a puppy, possibly a bull dog, according to police.
Police say the dog walker had seven dogs with him in total.
He was described as a white male, between 50-60 years old, grey facial hair and glasses.
He was wearing a broad brimmed hat, checked shirt and gilet.
A spokesperson for the Royal Parks: “Witness Appeal On Saturday, 4th November, at about 08:25, near Robin Hood Gate, Richmond Park, Julie, a 19yr old horse, was attacked by a dog.
“The rider was thrown from Julie during the attack and required hospital treatment. We are appealing for the owner of the dog & witnesses.
“The dog was described as a puppy, possibly a bulldog. The dog walker had seven dogs with him in total.
“He was described as a white male, 50-60 years old, grey facial hair and glasses.
“He was wearing a broad brimmed hat, checked shirt and gilet.”
